In the wake of Tim Piazza's hazing-related death nearly 10 years ago, a research center bearing his name has become an integral part of Penn State's efforts to help prevent similar tragedies. The Timothy J. Piazza Center for Fraternity and Sorority Research is working to understand the root causes of why hazing happens and how it can be eliminated.

In a story for Centre County Report, Holly Deemer spent time with Piazza Center executives to learn about how the organization is structured, what projects they are currently focused on, research-backed methods for effectively combatting hazing and more.
